Hub Caps by Dawn Bockus
Many years ago, the photo club organized a field trip to an auto wrecking yard full of old vehicles and auto parts. This box of hub caps caught my eye and was one of many takeaways from that trip.
Seattle Public Library by Tony Lam
One of my favorite structures in Seattle is the public library. It serves not only as a place for reading and solitude but also as a venue for photography. A symphony of glass and steel, it presents numerous opportunities for capturing images of geometric shapes, abstract forms, and people. This image was taken from the rear of the library building on Fifth Avenue. A covered walkway, constructed using diamond-shaped steel mesh, forms a triangular tube. The walkway and its reflection from the expansive glass windows creates a compelling image.
